DCA Average Price Calculator
Add each buy at its price and size to get your weighted average entry, total units, and total cost. Use it to plan averaging down on any crypto.
Averaging down lowers your average entry but adds money to a losing position. If the asset keeps falling, the position can still lose value. This shows your cost basis, not whether the trade will work.
How the Average Price Is Calculated
Your average entry is a weighted average: each buy counts in proportion to the units it bought, not just its price. Add the cost of every buy (price times units), add the units, and divide total cost by total units. A large buy at a low price moves the average more than a small one.
From manual averaging to a DCA engine
Doing this by hand on every dip is exactly what a DCA bot automates. TradeArmor places staged buys with size multipliers and an EQ-price gate so deeper buys only fire below your lowest unsold leg, the same logic this calculator helps you reason about.
